Twelve original characters, each one cut, sewn and stuffed by hand in Pevely, Missouri from ultra-soft minky fabric. Paris the Pink Cat, Sir Fluffington the Sloth, D.D. the Deer, GiGi the Giraffe, Penny the Elephant, Zane the Smarty Cat, Muffin the Panda, Jazz the Yorkie, Enzo the Bunny, Dash the Dachshund, Chuckles the Hamster and Poky the Hedgehog.
Every Afita comes in two sizes. CuddleMini is about 8 inches and travels well in a car seat or a school bag. CuddlePlush is about 11 inches and is the one that ends up in the bed. Add a name, a date or a short message to the back and it stops being a toy and starts being a keepsake.
The whole collection started with a little red cat named Afita, a childhood plushie that is still around today. That is the idea behind every one of these: a stuffed animal made by one person, start to finish, that a child actually keeps.
