Craft Fairs and Markets Around Jefferson County

Finding out about a craft fair the day after it happened is close to a Jefferson County tradition. We got tired of it and built Show Me Market, a free directory of markets in and around the county. Below is the short version for anyone shopping handmade this fall. Two of these are ours, and they are marked.

September

  • Twin City Days Craft Fair, September 10 to 12, Festus and Crystal City. The craft booths run Saturday 9 to 3 inside a three day community festival that also brings an antique car show and live music. Details
  • Arnold Days Craft Show, September 18 to 20, Arnold City Park. One day of craft booths on the Saturday, wrapped in the city’s biggest weekend of carnival rides and fireworks. Details
  • De Soto Fall Festival, September 19, Main Street, De Soto. Saturday street festival, 9 to 4. Details
  • Kimmswick Young Entrepreneur Arts & Crafts Fair, September 26, Kimmswick. Fifty plus vendors, all of them 17 or younger. Worth the trip just to watch. Details
  • George Portz Traditional Music Festival & Craft Show, September 26 and 27, Festus. Bluegrass and craft booths together, noon to 6 both days. Details

October

  • Byrnes Mill Fall Festival, October 3, Byrnes Mill. Small town fall festival, 10 to 4. Details
  • Main & Mill StreetFest, October 10, Downtown Festus. Street festival on Main. Details
  • Kimmswick Witches Night Out, October 10, Kimmswick. The shops stay open until 9 and most of the town dresses for it. Details
  • Hillsboro Horse Show and Fall Festival, October 10, Jefferson County Fairgrounds. Details
  • Kimmswick Apple Butter FestivalWE ARE HERE, October 24 and 25, Historic Downtown Kimmswick. Four hundred vendors and roughly 100,000 people over two days. Find our booth

November

  • Jefferson College Handmade MarketWE ARE HERE, November 7, Hillsboro. Indoors at the Field House, handmade only, 9 to 3. Find our booth
  • Fox High School Fall Craft Fair, November 7 and 8, Arnold. About a hundred vendors across the gym and commons. Get there early for parking. Details
  • Festus Ladies Night, November 7, East Main Street, Festus. Afternoon into evening, 2 to 8. Details
  • Kimmswick Deer Widow’s Weekend, November 13 to 15, Kimmswick. Three days of shop hours in the historic downtown. Details
  • Leader Holiday Market, November 14, Herculaneum High School. Two levels of vendors, 9 to 1, with free Santa photos last year. Details
  • Northwest HS Craft & Vendor Fair, November 14, Cedar Hill. Around 70 vendors, benefiting the cheer program. Details
  • Fall Festival Vendor Event at Kenny’s, November 14, Barnhart. Indoor and outdoor spaces out on Highway 61, 11 to 5. Details
  • Cub Scout Pack 416 Autumn Craft Fair, November 21, Imperial. At the Windsor Intermediate Center, 9 to 3. Details
