We sell online all year, but the best way to meet an Afita is to pick one up and squeeze it. Every fall we load the van and set up a booth at craft fairs around Jefferson County, where you can feel how soft the minky is before you buy, line the kids up against the D.D. Deer height chart, and talk through a custom order face to face. Here is where our table will be.
Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival
Saturday October 24 and Sunday October 25, 2026, 10:00 to 5:00 both days
Historic Downtown Kimmswick, Missouri
- Free to walk in. Most parking lots run about $10, and a free shuttle runs from the Windsor School campuses.
- Over 400 vendors and something like 100,000 people through the town across the two days. It is the biggest show in Jefferson County and it happens rain or shine.
- We bring the full Afita lineup in both sizes, CuddleMini at 8 inches and CuddlePlush at 11, plus character socks, onesies and toddler tees, notebooks, stickers and quilts.
- Custom orders taken at the booth. Bring a name, a date or a photo and we will talk it through.
Booth prices are the same as the prices on this website. Nothing is marked up for the festival.
Jefferson College Handmade Market
Saturday November 7, 2026, 9:00 to 3:00
Jefferson College Field House, 1000 Viking Drive, Hillsboro, Missouri
- Free admission, indoors, and handmade only. No resale tables and nothing mass produced.
- The market raises money for the Jefferson College Early Childhood Center.
- Good timing if you are shopping early for Christmas. We bring gift sets, and this is usually where the holiday stock goes first.
Indoor show, so this one runs whatever the weather does.
What is on the table
All twelve Afita characters come to every show: Paris the Pink Cat, Sir Fluffington the Sloth, D.D. the Deer, GiGi the Giraffe, Penny the Elephant, Zane the Smarty Cat, Muffin the Panda, Jazz the Yorkie, Enzo the Bunny, Dash the Dachshund, Chuckles the Hamster and Poky the Hedgehog. Every one of them is cut, sewn and stuffed by hand here in Pevely.
Alongside the plushies you will find character socks, onesies and toddler tees in sizes 0 to 4T, handmade quilts, notebooks, greeting cards, stickers and magnets. We take cash, Square and Venmo at the booth.
